SUMMARY: Subaru doesn't even have a tv.

Subaru didn’t have a tv in his apartment. To Hokuto, this was one of the things that indicated that her brother wasn’t completely human.

She loved going out, loved mingl Einen Eintrag verfassening with people, meeting friends or drag Subaru and Sei-chan from one end of the Tokyo to the other, but just as much she loved hanging out in front of the tv and watch silly game shows. What a sad world this would be without game shows!

Subaru didn’t share her enthusiasm, though he sometimes kept her company - whenever she could trick him into it, and he didn’t have a job, or home assignments for school, or a date with Sei-chan; the latter being the only viable excuse for letting her spend the evening alone, as far as Hokuto was concerned.

But even when he watched it with her, Subaru couldn’t really appreciate the entertaining value of game shows, casting shows or music shows. No. Subaru like documentaries. About nature. And animals.

Obviously.

Not that Hokuto minded them. But her brother was sixteen, not six, and he should start to get interested in stuff other boys his age were interested in. When she complained about his lack of connection to the rest of society, he just smiled and apologized in a way that made her suspect he didn’t really mean it.

Her attempt to introduce him to the world of soft porn movies had ended as disastrous as had to be expected. Disastrous, but entertaining. Hokuto vowed to one day try again.

If possible when Sei-chan was present.

Sometimes she would zap through the programs and find a documentary about the wild life in Australia, or about the Amazonas or something of the kind, and she would call her brother over to her place, and they would watch it together. It was one of the few things that could drag him away even from his homework. Subaru would sit on the floor in front of the tv, watching it with bright eyes looking for all the world like a little boy, and Hokuto would sit on the couch, behind him, and wish he would never grow up.

Sometimes Seishiro showed up during those times. Subaru always left to greet him then, and forgot about everything else until they were alone again and the film was long since over.
