Your vs. You're
The word 'your' shows possession (like 'their').
example: Your sweater is not as cool as Jacob's.
The word 'you're' is the contraction of 'you' and 'are' (similar to 'they're').
example: You're not as cool as Jacob. this means the same thing as: You are not as cool as Jacob.
