medieval epic fic, remember that?

I am finishing a Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin today. It's so good it's giving me panic attacks about even posting Legend of the Fallen. (Sandsa/Sandor!, Drogo/Daenerys, Tyrion!) But I already revised it, and it may be the only Chloe/Davis medieval epic fic out there...

Davis is getting some of his scary powers, Chloe is obsessed with ( Read more... )

G AETA!!!! Tyrion!!!!

I was gonna choose a more historical fantasy setting for Crossroads, but I was stopped by someone.

A yes. I want to see these two oncreen so bad. I still haven't. I want ASoIaF show NOW and I really should watch GAEETTAAA.

I love Tyrion so much, a man alway's pays his debts and how he's such a trooper and snarky through all of that crap and then his backstory to the phrase ends up being so horrific and tragic. (BUT THEN HE GOES BAMF!)

Ohh... bwahaha. I dunno if I am to blame in some mysterious un-understanble way and my ranting about Charles de Lint.
Or was that Rispacooper?

rispacooper never lets me have any fun :( Though she did write Gaeta/Lee Adama porn.

Everyone loves Tyrion. We love him so much we sort of overlook the fact that he PARTICIPATED IN THE GANG RAPE OF HIS WIFE. Grrm does that to us.

Once I start watching THAT show I am going to stalk her with my horrible sunshiny-ness.

I KNOW! INSTEAD- HE KINDA MAKE US CRY, even when he says what happened because it is, pointedly, what he doesn't say, and how that drives him batshit. (That shot- so satisfying.)

DAMN THAT SCENE.

That is gorgeous!

And I LOVE A Song of Fire & Ice -- but it takes a month or two to get over one of those books. Since they're inspiring you, have you read George R. R. Martin's anti-fanfic post, btw? http://grrm.livejournal.com/151914.html

Hee. Thank you! I love photoshop.

No, I hadn't seen the post. Thanks for sharing! It works better for me than Diana Gabaldon's ranty rant.

Legend of the Fallen doesn't use his world though; it's too good and too difficult for a novice like me. I tend to have a sun-shinier view on life, very little court intrigue mentality.

I go for fanfic for tv, but not for books; that's the same medium and more of a direct challenge for the author.

(When you have a show like SV, it's nigh impossible NOT to want to see some story-lines changed, or some characterization followed up on. Fake Baby! Failsday! Argh.)

So I am not waking the dragon. ;P

That was exactly the same thing I said. DG was an asshole, but I support GRRM's position. To be perfectly honest, I don't want people writing about my original chars either. They are deeply dear to me. All of them. If I had a TV show or movie, I'd be like bring it on!

I'm sad. I have no sun-shinier view. I am all about the darkness and the cynicism. People get raped and killed and horribly abused in my stories, and I started them way before I read Martin.

You did?! HEE! If I see it for books I start comparing writing styles and it gets headachey. Whereas onscreen chars get you thinking a multitude of things ( ... )
