I don't think that's the same definition. The reason that's called scat is because it's short for scatalogical, as in scatalogical humor, i.e.- poop, fart and sex jokes. I'm pretty sure it's a completely different definition and that scatman had something to do with scatter and the rapidity with which they sing, etc. But maybe not?

The world may never know Scatman John's true intentions in his use of 'scat'.

He passed away on December 3rd, 1999 taking the definitive meaning of 'scat' to the grave with him.

True, but scat was a big deal in the forties, so I'm sure there's something lying around it? There's still hope! HaHA!

Well, yes, scat does mean shit, but before it became slang for that it was for a certain type of music. Yanno, the kind where they gibber "dobadowadodi, dibblydodowwwww???" That's scat music.

So are you basically saying that Scatman John and the overall Scat movement of the mid-ninties influenced the naming of the fetish?

In an unorthodox move, Scatman John gave an answer pertinent to the heated abortion rights debate when asked about the definition of meaningless banter. This, of course, stands in defiant contrast to the more traditional answer of meaningless banter when asked about a definition pertinent to the heated abortion rights debate.
