Considering it's another post-Civil War New Warriors team, there will of course be certain similarities. Other than that, the main difference is that the characters still have their powers.

I like plot and action as much as the next guy, but both are worthless without being able to recognize the humanity of the characters interacting within the story. Thanks, and wait till you see chapter 7. After that, I have to actually get around to writing chapter 8.

I was wondering when you were going to update this and you already had, I just missed it. Anyway, great chapter! I love the humor spinkled throughout the fic:

“Sounds all right,” Mrs. Hopkins said. “Just don’t get into any trouble over there. You’re still too young and impressionable for the bars.”

Audrey chuckled. “Not going to any bars. What’s the point of getting yourself drunk? You’ll just wake up in the morning with a headache and a strange guy in your bed.”

“Or strange girl?” Mr. Hopkins suggested, wagging his eyebrows.

“Dad!” Audrey exclaimed in mock offense.

Audrey has some cool parents. My mom never said anything of the sort back when I graduated high school. But that was a while ago... *runs off to read next part*

Yeah, she does. They haven't raised a fuss about her being involved with another girl and they even find some humor in it --- albeit at her expense. Of course, it's somewhere in the latter period of the mid-21st century and, at least in America, we are growing more and more progressive as a society.
