Inertial Impulses, Chapter 1

I realized at the beginning of my spring break that DC seriously lacked for speedster anti-heroes. Yes, Marvel has some in the form of Quicksilver and Speed (of the Avengers/X-Men and Young Avengers, respectively), but DC does not. Either they're good or they're evil. Oh going after Slade is a very brave or very foolish thing. A little of both, really. But it takes serious balls. I like Inertia. I feel sorry that he hasn't really had anyone there for him.

Thank you. I'm glad I could get across what I intended to. You see, Inertia is almost obsessively devoted to Bart, to the point that anyone who hurts Bart makes an enemy of him for life. If someone hurts Bart, he will hunt them to the ends of the earth --- and that's easy with his speed --- and for as long as it takes to get to them so he can make them pay. That's Inertia's mindset right now.
