Wahappa?!
So, at 19:00 last night, I'm closing up the store at work, when a group mail is sent out to everybody
..announcing that 2 out of 4 of our stores are closing. One of them in 2 days.

Aiyaa?!
(To clarify just in case, the store I work at is a tenant store in an Asian market; it's our store, not the market itself closing). This means that....... 5 out of 12 store-front employees are going to lose their jobs by the end of October...
Of course I knew that economic times were hard, but when it comes this close all the sudden in such a manner it's really shocking.
Man, I feel really bad for the people losing their jobs. One, slightly, perhaps, maybe, thing is..... our store-front employees are almost all part-time workers, not full-time employees. Which means, at least, that losing the job, doesn't mean stuff like benefits are going to be cut. (←this is me trying to think ultra positively)
There've recently been 2 people leaving the office section too. I thought they quit, but maybe it was.........
(aaaaand when I was writing ↑ I get a call from an elder making sure I'm okay Σ(^_^;) Oh man, she and everybody else at the office must be going through hell now.... She sounded really tired)
...no use wondering why these decisions were made. What's decided is done.
Hm? whether the store I'm at is going to stay? ......we're the oldest, but not the most profitable. All's we can do is keep doing our own jobs. till further notice.
