Andrew cringed, face turning bright red as he overheard what his captors were doing in the next room. More importantly, what could Andrew do while the vampires were…“occupied

Morgan was still in shock over Mykel's death. He hardly heard or saw Merlynn as he trudge back to the vehicles, he and what remaind of his men needed to leave as the rain continued to pour upon them.
Forgive me Mykel. he kept repeating over and over in head, he'd suffered enough casualities already. Not to mention he was still heavy in guilt over the matter of leaving Andrew to these creatures.
So pre occupied that the priest barely acknowledge his cell going off. He numbly reached for it, flipping it open he went through the motions of answering as he barely uttered. "Yes."
“M-morgan?”
The priest slid to halt as he gaped, "Andrew!" he breathly uttered, "Ghod above Andrew where are you!" He whipped back around to stare at the house of the damned even as he began to walk back towards it.
Andrew could've wept as soon as he heard that voice. He was going to be saved; he was going to be rescued. Such was his faith in the other priest. Andrew knew Morgan, and Morgan would never abandon him.
"Oh Morgan, Morgan...thank God for you!" His voice cracked in sheer relief. "I'm by a gate." Andrew recognized the structure from reconnaissance photos some of the other priests had taken a few days ago and elaborated, "It-it's the east gate. But I can't get past it. I'm...I'm hurt."
Now there were things he’d do to preserve Morgan’s trust.
And there were things, even more things he’d do for Kraven. Sometimes Merlynn thought that what he felt for the vampire was enough to make him act so riskily, sometimes not even caring for common sense.
But seeing that…
Merlynn hadn’t seen such a horrible thing, not in his whole life.
He brought his hand to his neck. This was war now and if they had killed Mykel like this… God! He’d talked to Mykel, he knew that man. And now he was dead.
This way…
No, he just couldn’t do it. Merlynn backed off to the spare truck and waited there, just beside it. If Kraven was all right, he’d get in touch with him. If Morgan wanted to invade the mansion, he’d do it with his men.
Morgan wouldn’t get any closer to this damned house!
"Oh Morgan, Morgan...thank God for you! I'm by a gate. It-it's the east gate. But I can't get past it. I'm...I'm hurt."Morgan's senses sharpened, as his eye scanned the house. The east gate was closest to them, he signaled for his men to come closer as he listened to Andrew's voice

Rigel stepped closer to the other hybrid and ran a caressing hand down the side of the beautiful man's face.
"Try to relax a bit Marcus. You have done all that can be done tonight, it is time for you to rest. We will rebuild this mansion but it will take time, as they say...Rome was not built in a day."
Rigel stood up on tiptoe and pressed a soft kiss to Marcus' lips.
"Come my own. You are still recovering and should take shelter, rest, recooperate. I would not loose you, not now, not ever."
Soren nodded in agreement. He really was tired. "Alright," Marcus he said, giving the man's hand a brief but affectionate squeeze.
"My boy, the coven does not know about us, we are the best defense for the coven now."
Marcus was right. As much as Soren hated lycans, the hybrids were...useful. He stopped himself before admitting that they were necessary though; that was one step he was unwilling to take.
However, perhaps the foul lycan blood was also too much of an obstacle for Marcus and him to overcome. Soren hoped not yet he still ground his fangs together as he saw Rigel lean in for a caress and kiss, but he forced himself to ignore it. Besides, it was day, and the janissary needed rest. He headed for the sanctity of the crypts.
Marcus gave a sigh of relief as his offspring agreed to stand watch over the vampires. He had no doubt his young warrior would protect the vampires to the best of his abilities

“What?” he muttered noticing the boy had suddenly become gloomy, as if thoughts were tormenting him. How could he think, right now… of anything? Viktor run his thumb on the boy’s lips, his own mind troubled.
"How can you love me."
“Shh…” the elder sealed the boy’s lips with a kiss. “The question is, how can I not?” he moaned as he continued to move inside the boy.
How can I love you? his mind berated all of a sudden.
In truth, he had to keep all those memories of what Kraven had done until now, buried, in the darkest corners of his mind. Because, when he couldn’t help but remembering those things, then what he felt for Kraven seemed like fate’s cruel joke.
A twisted one as well…
“Calm down now…” he cooed kissing the boy’s lips again and again. “Don’t worry. About anything.” He smirked, teasing the boy’s face with his mouth.
Why should you worry? You’ve got me captivated for good.
Kraven sobbed again, he was such a damn weakling! Crying like a fledging when he should be concentrating on being with Viktor.
“Calm down now… Don’t worry. About anything.”
The man was trying to ease Kraven, the vampire felt such overwhelming guilt, his fingers wouldn't leave that mark upon the man's chest alone. He moved to kiss it, willing it fade! To heal so he wouldn't have to look at it and be reminded what sort of creature he was.
"I love you!" he uttered over and over kissing that delicate and marred skin in front of him. "I will make this better." he softly promised. He would work harder to make up for his countless unending sins.
“My poor baby…” Viktor uttered thoughtfully. “What could you do? I have taken everything away from you…”
Rightfully so…
Not that this didn’t make him feel bad for the boy.
“I want you to know…” he muttered, trying to think for something consoling to say.
“Well…”
He stopped moving for a moment, simply resting inside the boy.
“If you had succeeded… well… I only mean to say that… it would be horrible, not living those moments with you. Being… with you. I feel like someone is really happy that I’m alive. I hadn’t felt this way since…”
He licked his lips, not sure if the boy would understand, would feel exactly what he was trying to say.
He'd just stepped from the shower when he heard his cell phone go off.
Marcus wrapped the towel around his hips as he padded out to retrieve the small device. He was getting better at the contraption as he saw whom was calling, "Viktor..." he mumbled, debating on whether or not to answer.
Marcus was still a touch ticked off from his brother's treatment. But still, Viktor was his brother he wasn't going to give up so easily just yet; even if they were no longer of the same spieces.
With a sighed then flicked open the phone while pushing back the wet hair from his face. "Yes Viktor." he calmly answered.
“Marcus, I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” The vampire elder uttered. “I need to speak to you about something. During our “meeting” earlier, you pointed out at me that I’m not letting you prove to me that you are responsible…” he continued. Viktor touched his neck. Yes… who would ever trust the sanity of a man who couldn’t even control his temper? But it didn’t matter. He turned to look at Kraven, already enthusiastic about their trip. Viktor smirked. He wouldn’t spoil this for Kraven, he wouldn’t spoil this for the world.
“What if I finally give you a chance, my brother?”
Marcus shifted to one hip as he listend to Viktor.
“I need to speak to you about something. During our “meeting” earlier, you pointed out at me that I’m not letting you prove to me that you are responsible…”
Had he said that? Marcus shook his head, he couldn't remember.
“What if I finally give you a chance, my brother?”
"Ah, well..." what hell had he said? Marcus ran a tired hand over his face, holding back the animal inside him. "Yes, about that..." why did he feel like the child he'd accused Viktor of treating him as? "Viktor, I want to speak sometime about this, this condition of mine." The elder wander to an overstuffed chair and plunked down into it, he gave another sigh feeling the change just under his skin making him scowel. 'I am still vampire!' he vowed to himself as he forced his mind to listen to Viktor.
"What chance are you gracing me with." he smirked, "I have managed to run the coven without you, you know."
It was strange… The man sounded almost as if he couldn’t quite remember what had happened. Viktor sighed. Marcus was acting as still recovering from a major hangover. But this state had lasted since he first woke up. As a hybrid.
“I am going to give you the chance to prove to me that you still have what it gets to run this coven.” He firmly replied. “And don’t start with me, Marcus. The fact that you were able to do the job doesn’t mean you still can. However I want you to have your chance. And we both now that I’m a little … patronizing. So if I let you rule and stay around, there’s a possibility our nerves explode…” he admitted.
“I will leave. For a few days.” He continued. “Away from the coven and Budapest. You’ll stay here as the ruler of the coven while I’m away. Consider it a test, Marcus. I need to find out how well you can rule. It’s essential. For the welfare of everyone. What do you say?”
