There is a baby next door and it just cries constantly. I've got half a mind to call social services. They are such noisy neighbours, all I ever hear is children screaming and other "adults" also screaming and shouting at each other or the aforementioned children. I'm not sure that just going round there and being polite is going to work

Firstly "go postal" is an awesome phrase.

Secondly, having had dealings with so called "confidential" complaint services, would suggest if you do complain, do it via someone else, someone who does not live next door to them.

There is a family with a baby living upstairs from me. The little sod always seems to be awake at night or very early in the monring, and wakes me up, and the parents seem to do nothing. Oh, except play Bob The Builder loudly. Mind you tho that's stopped happening so much since I started playing Institut at them.

yeah, i've been told they have a tendanciy to turn up at the door and say 'your neighbours have been complianing'. and since i'm the only neighbour next door.....

Read a study earlier in the year about ambient noise levels in London and Birmingham causing stress related illnesses. I'd invest in some ear plugs if you don't want to end up as a female me.
