i see your point. perhaps manchester would be ok, but as you can see lincoln is definitely not. there's no point in me moving somewhere that's not going to keep me entertained, expecially if i could be there for up to 4 years. the last thing i would need during a PhD is a non-existant social life. i can't imagine anything more depressing.
