Your Dad and my dad were in WW II at the same timeigosmAugust 17 2007, 02:36:12 UTC
One of the guys in the photo looks like my Dad but couldn't be because he always war those Army issued black rimmed glasses and those were missing from the picture. I don't have any pictures of Dad in action (or even hanging out with his buddies). It was either pretty good or pretty awful because mostly he wanted to forget it. Your Dad went to Korea too, that's a lot. My Dad kept out of that one. My Dad worked in the Army Air Corps on the planes. I think he gassed them up.. At least I hope that's all he did he was forgetful. Thanks for sharing your Dad with me. Apparently we have a lot in common. We are both the youngest Baby Boomers ever. I was cool to watch your father age. He seemed to get happier as he got older. He was smart to avoid hospitals. A lot of times (Especially at the end) they can make the patient mighty uncomfortable in the name of helping them

My brother was a 9 pound premie at only 6 months after the wedding.
Did they really call him a "premie"? It certainly was a different day. But then again, I had trouble counting the great-grandchildren, because there's one who's not a blood relative and there's no marriage, just a committed live-in relationship, though he never met her and there are others who were given up for adoption so they're no longer legally part of the family. I decided not to count them even though I kinda wanted to.
I don't expect to be putting anything else on the site for a while. Maybe mid to late next week at the earliest. One of my aunts wrote from California, but I don't know if she meant for it to be on the web; I'm waiting for permission to add it.
