For the past 3+ years, I, a Movie Lover(tm), have made the supreme sacrifice of not going to see any of the movies I want to see in the theater because I have a baby -- now a baby and a toddler -- and no babysitter.

The only movies I consider it acceptable (and expected) to bring small children to are the G-rated movies that are obviously made for children. At any other movie children should be old enough and well-behaved enough to know they should be quiet and not kick the seat in front of them.

Maybe you could find a teenager from your church who would be willing to babysit? That way you and your hubby could go on a real date. ^_^

THANK YOU for leaving your children behind. Honestly, I see people bringing their kids to increasingly inappropriate movies as time goes on. There has been at least one child under six years old in every horror film I've seen this year. =_=

I remember my first movie, and it was a children's movie, with me being old enough to actually remember it, and be quiet during it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you are not alone in being polite to other movie goers, and I (and my brothers) thank you.

I feel quilty enough when I take our munchkin to a children's movie & she can't sit still. More than that, why would any parents expose their young child to that kind of movie?
