You asked; I came :)

I like Toshiko, so nice to see a story written from her POV. You write her as I've tended to see her: often more an observer of her surroundings than a real participant in events, which is no doubt far less than Tosh deserves, but it's how she was portrayed so many times.

The lingering hostility with Gwen is plausible, though I'm wondering when this takes place. The two of them seemed to have quite a good relationship in S2 - though of course that could be a front.

Finally, though, you leave me confused about two things. Why is Gwen so angry/frustrated? Or is that something Tosh isn't supposed to know, so the reader can't know it either? And who is Tosh's message supposed to be to?

Oh, thank you! Reviews and concrits are always appreciated. They make for better future writing.
The whole thing was meant to be about the absence of Jack during the year that never was. (Come back, I miss you.)
I tried, and I admit that 250 words weren't enough, to show what Torchwood could have been like while he wasn't there.
Gwen's frustration: at Jack leaving, at having to shoulder all that responsibility, at having to deal with the inevitable falling out with Rhys when TW literally takes over her life even more than during s1.

S1 ended with a mutiny on their part(shared betrayals), and the lingering obstility was supposed to be over the whole Gwen/Owen affair of iniquity (or something).
