Rules
1. BE ACTIVE! This doesn't just mean you make posts, we want you active in out-of-character chats, we want you interacting with people, and having fun! If your character isn't sociable, don't let that keep you from talking with your fellow muns. However, rudeness will not be tolerated between muns: if you have an issue with another mun, please contact a mod if you can't work it out privately. This includes following netiquette rules.
2. The minimum activity is two journal posts per month, even if the journals are only a few words. We will also be having monthly activity checks in the form of community-wide events that will require the presence and interaction of all characters. These events should provide enough material for two journal posts.
3. If you know you won't be able to be active for more than one month, PLEASE contact a moderator and let one of us know so that you can be put on the Hiatus list. All members get one "free" missed activity check in the case of sudden business that prevents a member from participating in the activity check. (We have real lives too, so we know what it's like.)
4. All members will be expected to use proper spelling and grammar. Part of the community's back story is that all patients at the hospital are equipped with a microchip that allows them to communicate in the same language, even if they are from a country that doesn't speak that language.
5. For the purposes of this community, the default language is English, but if a mun knows a different language (and their character, realistically, knows the language as well) then they are free to use that language in journal entries and logs as long as a full English translation is provided.
6. All muns are allowed to reserve and app two characters at the start. As a way to be sure that these instructions have been read and will be followed, please put '(Character Name)'s file' as the subject for your applications. After a mun has shown that they are capable of being active with two characters for at least one month (measured from the time of the second character's approval), then another character may be requested.
7. If a mun drops a character, they must wait three weeks before applying for a new character, even if they do not have any other characters. Character-hopping will not be tolerated, so please do not apply for a character for only one plot point or purpose.
8. Original characters are allowed ONLY by request after a mun has an established fandom character, and must be approved by the mods before an application can be posted. Any original characters posted before mod approval will be denied.
9. The age of consent in this RP is 16; any characters involved in NC-17 situations must be at or above the age of consent. Any log with excessive swearing, violence, or sexual situation must be marked as such and friends-locked. ALL logs must be hidden under an LJ-cut.
10. God-modding will not be tolerated in any way, shape or form. If a mun is unable to play their character for whatever reason, a mod should be contacted.
11. Given the secluded nature of this RP, patients are not allowed contact with the outside world after being brought to the hospital. However, all characters are provided with digital communication devices that allow them to send texts to other people on the island and make voice posts to their journals.
