Well, yesterday I bought a motorcycle. I had one several years ago and I loved it totally and completely. At the time it was my only form of transportation, which quickly became an issue when I needed to haul anything larger than what I could fit in a backpack. I sold it, got a car and that was the end of it ( Read more... )

That's way better than the bumble bee outfit I was going to wear. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've been thinking the same thing lately.

Most states offer up a training/certification workshop that lasts a weekend or two. I did this when I got my first bike, and will do it again probably in the spring. What impressed me was not only their ability to teach all levels of riders to ride, and ride well, but most of the people in the class rode their $18,000+ harley's in, got off of them to ride a little 125 for the weekend, and then rode off at the end of the day. It was just so they knew they were doing all they could be become a better rider.

I encourage it, if you haven't figured it out. Plus, great gas mileage.

Yeah, I still have to get mine for MI. I had one for NC 15 years ago, but I didn't keep it updated (not that I had to test again, when I got rid of the bike, I didn't renew the endorsement for years afterwards). I'll be doing that in the next couple of weeks. I'll have it just in time for winter :)

I want to buy a motor cycle as they are more gas efficiant ... but Sydney will not let me.

I was fortunate that Katie supported me in this decision. She told me years ago that I was welcome to get one when we could, and i happened to find one I really liked, was in great shape and was at a price I was willing to pay all right here in Ypsilanti.
