Sci-Fi bingo

Saw the first episode of Stargate Universe tonight.  I didn't like the movie, and I have never seen any of the other Stargate shows.  I will not be taking the time to catch up with them because holy terrible writing, Batman.

Laughing about the show with my husband did inspire a new game:

LOL. Couldn't access the document (maybe because I keep my cookies turned off), but fun idea.

I have to confess that my first-ever game like this was a baseball-based thing my best friend and I came up with on our own to stay awake in our extremely boring eighth-grade Sunday-school class. "God" was a home run, which meant the scores were pretty high. ;)

the bingo card has all the standards; Red Shirt Death, crew running out of oxygen, someone hot wearing spandex.

I kind of wish I'd come up what that Sunday School baseball idea. Though, given my classmates at that age, "Sit down and shush" probably would have gotten more hits than anything else.

Great idea! Star Trek: TNG and most Stargates will get you close to blackout in one or two episodes. Though, to be perfectly fair, the original Star Wars trilogy will probably get you the same.

I've watched a few episodes of Stargate Universe and it has the cliches of the other Stargates shows without the fun and escapism of the other Stargates, which is not a good combination.

Oh, Star Wars. There isn't a bingo card in all the galaxy big enough to contain the cheese. Yet it manages to be so entertaining

Someday I'll make an opportunity to watch the original Stargate series. It looked suspiciously like the new show is the Voyager of the Stargate franchise
