Fic and Art-athon Prompts?
The Fic/Art-athon beat out the Fic Exchange in our community poll, so that's what we will be doing for our first project.
We're going to take prompts for a few days. I have a bunch written down, but I thought it would be fun and interactive to open up prompt suggestions to you all. You may suggest as many prompts as you wish. Although this project is for both fanfic writers and fanartists, your prompts don't necessarily have to work equally as well for both. We understand that some prompts will work better for fic and some will work better for art. To clarify: Yes, NC-17 content is okay.
Prompts can be:
-Short phrases
-Song lyrics, poetry, quotes, or passages from fiction/essays
-Book titles/references, movie titles/references, tv titles/references
-Current events involving America and/or England. Please link to an article if it's something not well known.
-Historical events involving America and/or England (obviously they need to be events that both characters can be worked into). Please don't be super broad. For example, don't just say 'the American civil war,' but specify 'the Trent affair' or another definitive event. Please link to a source if it's not something well known.
-Historical quotes
-Image inspirations. Political cartoons, stock photos, etc.
-Concept prompts (i.e. America and England go on a picnic)
-Anything else you can think of that you think would work, to be honest.
Obviously we won't offer up all of the prompts provided (especially since there are bound to receive duplicates or similar prompts), but we will include some from everyone who replies.
Comments are screened. We will close this on Saturday night and make the signup post on late Saturday night or Sunday.
