Well that was just awesome. It's a WWII AU romance. Sweet! I love pilot!Alfred I really do, he always seems so carefree and dashing. lol This one though, I can honestly see Arthur being stuck serving with Francis. And Arthur being thunderstruck at Alfred's awkward politeness/straightaway cuteness the first time they met. I really loved the end though, and I admit I didn't see it coming. The part about Alfred sending letters a month in advance to make sure it got through definitely made sense, not only did it take forever back then, but customs/the government looked through your stuff and screened it. That, that was awecome though. I mean he showed up out of the blue, live, and set with an pocket watch for a Valentines gift. Nice writing there, you came up with quite the unique story for them. I realize the Alfred being a pilot bit isn't unusual, but having Arthur also in the military and a rank above him is slightly different, as was their initial meeting.
