Thank you for your patience as I hysterically worried over my own capabilities, your willingness to stay up and give me compliments even though you had to wake up at three the next morning, and your faultless enthusiasm when it came to betaing and improving my "Alfred" voice.
I hope you enjoy your gift, dear. God knows how much fun I had writing it. I'm sorry that it's a bit late, and will extend past Christmas, but I hope to make it up with the quality (?). I can't say this is my best work, or that I was a great writer to start off with, but I thought it'd be more interesting this way. ;) You'll see.
