Having been stuck on that baktag hunk of bolts called 668 for entirely too long, I've been craving serious flight and competition. I've got some holodeck programs that do pretty decent flight simulation, anyone up for some friendly or serious competition?
Anyone wishing

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. :)
Could be fun, a project that doesn't involve comm panels and replicators, or more often, breaking up squabbles between ensigns.

Squabbles between engineering ensigns? Child's play! My brothers and I were getting into better fights before we were five years old!
You haven't seen a good fight until you've gotten a couple of pilots drunk, then challenged one or more of them as to their worth as a pilot. That's fun to watch, usually requires more alcohol and a regenerator to clean up that mess. Of course, as an outsider, you could just sit back and watch instead of needing to clean up or prevent it.
Look forward to seeing you join us.

True enough. The engineers usually start talking about engineering and the fight's over. So, when are we getting started? What've you got in mind?
I've also got to admire the moxie of anyone who jumps right into the fray on the BBS after only a few weeks on the ship ;)

I figure we can hold the first gathering three days from now, after the alpha shift, on holodeck two. Once we know who all wants to play, we can start figuring out what we want to do. I like the suggestion Grace offered of forming teams and starting everyone off with the same set of specifications, and running everyone through challenges and seeing what craft results by the end. This'll likely give us the most enjoyment for both the pilots and engineers. What do you think?

Jumping into the fray without doing much recon first is one of my trademarks. I've found that the advantage gained by leaving everyone else flat footed more than compensates for any loss of tactical advantage that could have been gained by sitting back and watching for a while first. Besides, the fray always seems to find me even when I attempt to sit back and watch, so charging ( ... )

Well, I can't let my girl go and show off on this project without trying to one up her. Count me in too.

Who am I to pass up high flying fun?
As for the rumor about Lt. Cdr Kvorash, who's currently the next highest ranking officer in the flight control department? There's Lt. Decker, and Lt. jg Diziara, anyone else up there in rank?

Wasn't Lt. jg Diziara involved with that Delta Force mission a while back? I vaguely recall Grace babbling about her Aunt being off in the Delta quad for some crazy mission under some Romulan Admiral, and I think she had a department head position at the time, despite only being a lieutenant junior grade. So Decker's the next in rank, ( ... )
