Baby It's Cold Outside-Jensen and Jared Christmas Present

Dec 09, 2010 08:15

“I think I better get going dude.” Jensen said after a few seconds of silence.

“Oh come on...it's cold out there.” Jared said with a smile his co star knew well.

“Don't Jared, just don't.” he said in a serious tone he didn't fully feel.

They had dated the first few years of the show pretty heavily and Jensen had found himself falling for the younger man harder than he would have thought possible. But when the whispers became mummers that became quiet conversations the network sat them down and told them in no uncertain term that if they were going to date they needed to start being smarter about it or the show would be in jeopardy.

Jared moved closer to Jensen, rubbing the other man's shoulders as he said. “But why? It really is cold outside.” His mouth moved close to his ear as he whispered. “And it's so warm in here...”

Jensen moved out under his arms and moved towards his coat. “Look, it's been a great night...”

Jared grabbed his hand. “Then don't let it end.” he said in a sad tone. He looked down at Jensen's hand and put it between his hands. “Your hands are like ice!” he said as he brought them to his mouth and blew warm air on them.

Jensen had known all his life he had liked guys but growing up in an aggressively religious family in the middle of Texas didn't lend itself to sexual experimentation. When he graduated high school he had left to Hollywood, a place where he could not only be a star but find himself. And what he had found was a passion for men that frankly, scared the hell out of him.

Jensen slowly pulled his hands out of Jared's huge paws. “You know I can't do that.” he said quietly.

Jared paused, the sight of Jensen looking morosely at his feet broke his heart. “Stay for one more drink then?”

Jensen looked up at him, his willpower wavering until he saw the warmness in his former lover's eyes. “Maybe a half one.”

Jared's face exploded with a grin. “Let me pour it.” he said almost skipping across the room in glee. “Have a seat.” he said gesturing at the couch.

Jensen had dated more than a few guys in West Hollywood during his time on the soap opera and he worried that instead of just a passing phase, he might actually have feelings for men. Which was when he quit and decided to try the Vancouver TV scene instead.

Jensen sat down taking a look at the window. “My car is still out front, you think anyone will notice?”

Jared came back and handed him a drink that was much more than half full. “You worried about the neighbors?” Jared said chuckling.

“A little.” Jensen said taking a sip. “What is in this?” he asked trying not to cough.

“Just drink up.” Jared said downing his own in a swallow before he moved closer to Jensen.

He tossed the glass back and felt it burn as it moved down his throat, making him a few degrees warmer almost instantly. He felt his face flush as Jared move his arm around him. Jensen shook his head weakly as he felt Jared move in to kiss him.

He had tried to keep his nose clean, working as much as he could, climbing up the ranks in the illustrious WB network shows. He had missed out on landing the role of a lifetime as a young Clark Kent to an Abercrombie model that made Jensen's head spin to see in person. The two of them became friends and a lot more as he moved from show to show, his name becoming more well known each year. He had almost felt happy about his life until he found out that his kind of boyfriend had gotten engaged to a woman and broke things off with him. It was then he decided he needed to give this whole guy thing up.

He could taste the whiskey on Jared's tongue as it moved past his lips, his mind fogging over with lust as he felt himself melt into the bigger man for a second...

“No.” Jensen said pulling away from him quickly.

“Jensen, come on.” he said trying to pull him back. “You know you want it as bad as I do.”

He wanted to tell him he didn't, that he didn't want this at all...but he knew that was a lie. He wanted it just as bad if not more...but at least he was going to try to fight it.

Jensen stood up quickly. “I have to go.”

Jared got up with him. “But it snowing, it's bad at there.” he said pleading.

Jensen turned at leveled a stare at him. “The answer is no Jared.” And instantly regretted it as the hurt puppy dog came back at him.

“It is cold out there though.” he said in a hurt voice. “I mean look out the window.”

Sure enough the snow was coming down hard now, framing the window in white ice that gave Jensen a chill just looking at it. Jared moved closer. “I'm really glad you came over.” he said moving his arms around his waist. “God your lips...” he said moving down kissing him again.

The first thing he thought when he saw Jared was “Do not fall in love with him.” He was tall, well built, cut as hell and had an energy that could best be described as infectious. Within a month they had become best friends, within two months lovers. They were inseparable, Jensen finally moving in with him, a time of very real perfection to them.

Jensen felt himself reacting to Jared's familiar touch, his body moving into the familiar curves of Jared's form. He had craved this touch, dreamed about it...his hand moved up, running it through Jared's shaggy locks.

“I gotta go home.” Jensen said, eyes still closed.

“It's freezing.” Jared countered.

“Lend me a coat.” he said smiling.

“It's up to your knees...” Jared said resting his forehead against Jensen's. “I love it when you run your hands through my hair.” he almost purred.

Jensen felt his hands tighten for a second, remembering the times he had held that hair, gently as they kissed, washing it in the shower, pulling it in sex...and every single memory of them came rushing back at once.

He had panicked when the CW network exec sat them down and explained their love life was becoming a topic for public conversation. They had talked about the millions of dollars they had invested in them and how two actors playing brother's could not be found having sex together. Jared had been outraged but it was Jensen who quietly agreed, not knowing how to face his parents if the truth came out. Within six months he had moved out, a year he was engaged. Jared had taken it personally and there was a falling out...until Jared announced he was engaged as well. Now here they were, both married, both supposedly straight men...completely in love with each other.

“People will talk tomorrow.” Jensen said, his voice cracking with emotion.

“I don't care what people say any more. All I can think about is a life without you.” Jared said pressing against Jensen, as if trying to will them to become one person. “A life of just sorrow...”

“What if they imply something?” Jensen asked, finally looking Jared in the eyes.

“And what if you caught pneumonia and died?” Jared asked with the same seriousness. “What do I do then?”

“You miss me that much?” Jensen asked, his resolve crumbling.

“Yes.” Jared said, his voice solid with conviction. “Also...it really is cold out there.” He pulled Jensen into him. “And my bed is warm.”

Jensen moved up, his lips moving over Jared's. “Then warm me up.” he said as he surrendered to him.
