Kid!Stiles is the most adorable thing ever and I can totally understand why Derek feels so protective of him. óò He's like a little lamb.
And Derek's mother was just wonderful here and it's so terrible she had to die like this ...
I can't wait for more!

Wow, thank you so much for your comment! I don't want to say I'm happy I made you cry, but I'm happy I got across the horrific sadness of Derek's past. I wanted to explore what the Hale house and pack might have been like before the fire, sort of domestic and homey, and consequently how tragic it is when Derek comes back to that house after all the life in it has died. I think his backstory is one of the most tragic of a fictional character I've ever seen. I know TW is sort of a dumb teen show (which doesn't mean I don't LOVE IT WITH ALL MY HEART) but the backstories they've given the characters are really compelling
