30 days of Buffy meme
I think this got passed around the fandom world like a bad cold about a year ago. But me, I catch everything late. Or way too early. In this case, it happens to be late.
Day 1: Favorite Season
Season Six. That's right: the season that everybody else seems to hate. I'll take depression, apathy, aimlessness, anti-social behavior, cynicism, addiction, dysfunctional relationships, and ineffectual un-supernatural villains any day. Season Two, however--with much the same disillusionment and only a slightly different tone--runs a very close second. I probably only like Season Six better at the moment because it so closely echoes many things in my own life. Then again, I loved Season Two because it reminded me of my own time in high school. This show is just so good at that and, apparently, if it wants to get my love, it needs to hurt me. And no, I don't like this season because I'm a Spuffy fan. I am a Spuffy fan because of this season. Wrap your head around that. (Caps are by Emma-Jane and I have been on that site so much today I'm probably going to break it.)
