Oh, I love this! Seriously, y'all, these series is awesome.
I loved Mrs. Smith and her (completely justifiable) love for Castiel; but my favourite line was definitely this -- "God rest his lazy soul. Walter never had been good for much alive but she’d loved him." So much lol, this lady is awesome.

This was beautiful! I can just picture Cas unintentionally wrapping old ladies around his finger.
And the description of Dean and Cas together was just perfect. So much love!

I like the idea of Cas getting along with little old ladies and generally everyone just by being polite and vaguely alien. Mostly because I think it messes with Dean's head a little and partially because Cas sometimes reminds me of Benton Fraser from due South.

I love, love, love, love, love Gertrude!
She's amazing, haha; I fell in love with her from the second sentence and I laughed out loud when I read her thoughts on Cindy.

I love that Castiel has old ladies wrapped around his little finger and that Gerty is standoffish with Dean. It's just an act; you can totally tell that she's always bound to like anyone that makes Castiel happy :D

I forgot to add that I also love the way you describe Dean and Castiel's relationship through Gertrude. One of the things I love best about outsider!POV fics on the Dean/Castiel relationship is how other people can see how close and how in love with each other they are with just a few subtle intimate touches and looks.

We all had a lot of fun writing this universe and putting it together. It was fun times in chat when most of this went down. And it's really been fun to write Dean/Cas from an outsider's point of view (because I have a secret love for that sort of fic.)
