Oh yeah, that train... I wanna finish getting the badges here in Johto before I go that far, but that's a good idea!

Oh. [She shrugs a little] I don't actually know much about the badges.

Oh, yeah? Well, they're basically big challenges for you and your Pokémon, to prove that you've been training well. [Chie pulls a badge out of her bag and shows it off.] Your team goes up against the gym leader's team, just like a regular trainer battle.

Most of them give you a useful move to teach your team, too! Like, when I beat the gym in Cianwood, I'll be able to teach one of my partners to fly.

Oh cool. That sounds pretty fun actually. Maybe when I get some more Pokébuddies I can try this out. Teaching these guys to fly would be pretty math. All this being stuck on the ground sucks!

It is fun! You gotta work hard for it, though. The easiest gym is like... three level 30s or something. I forget, it's been months since I fought that one.

Definitely! I had a lot of fun getting the ones I've got, but like I said, it's been a while. So I'm looking forward to getting back to it!
