Thank you for your generosity, Dave, but I assure you I am plenty capable of acquiring both. So don't let my well-being be a bother.
No, I was hoping I could convince you to read a few books and take notes for me, since I am sure everyone will want to leave as soon as possible, meaning little time to do so myself. Having them ahead of time will save us time.

Then I suppose our departure from Violet will be delayed a few days. I am sure Karkat will be pleased with this.
But at least that does offer you more time to prepare for the gym, doesn't it? Always a good idea to be well equipped for such a task.

Oh! I'm a Breeder. At least, I think so. I have a book about it, anyway.

...Not really sure what that means, though.

Really, I am unsure as well. I assume we are meant to breed Pokemon, but for to what end I have yet to discern.

I assure you I am fairing well, John. Not to worry. Dave is serving as a better Pokemon than I had previously expected.
That is fine. I suppose I am simply assuming things really, however unlike others who were in my area that I observed, I received a manual to Breeding along with the other items in my satchel.

well i didn't get one of those in my backpack. just this trainer manual.
that i should probably get around to reading at some point.
i guess it's safe to say i'm not a breeder though.

It would do you very good to read it, John. You should have done that in the beginning.
And yes, that is likely a sign you are not a breeder, which I am somewhat grateful for.
I should arrive in Cherrygrove tomorrow. Possibly the day after, but I am going to attempt to be quick. Please prepare for our leave, as we will want to leave once I am done restocking. The sooner we are in Violet, the better off we will be.
