Have you introduced yourself to him as your sister's twin since you arrived? It could serve as a reason to stay in contact with him or even help him realize the two of you have already met.

You cannot tell him who you really are. You cannot exchange places with your sister. Pretending to be an identical stranger would only cause him pain if he were to find out the truth, and I doubt you wish to cut off all contact with him.

...You could always try to build up a new relationship with him while pretending that those issues do not exist. But that would probably be emotionally unsatisfying, and it would not lead to a very stable bond. That would get troublesome.

...In my world exists a mountain named Mt. Ordeals, which grants holy powers to those who reach the shrine on its peak. But its paths are treacherous, and filled with the undead and an infinite number of restless spirits.
