9th roar [ video + action for Goldenrod ]

Feb 08, 2011 14:24

[ The video is very brief: it's Leon's room at the inn, which you all might recognize from the last video, if you're paying attention, with one very large discrepancy:

Skarmory is taking up the entire bed, along with a clutch of six. Six gigantic, reflective metal eggs ( Read more... )

[ Quistis didn't turn the video on until she'd recovered from her shock, but trust me, she was shocked.

Now she's some hybrid of horrified amusement, covering her mouth to try to hide her smile. ]

Oh, Hyne... Leon, I -

[ Okay, now she's just laughing. She knows she's in trouble, but he's just so serious! ]

[ So pissed you don't even. ]

Couldn't you have kept him on a leash or something? What am I supposed to do with six of them?

[ Okay, okay, sobering up. She'll never talk him down if she's laughing. ]

Sell them or give them away; they'll find good homes. Skarmories are powerful fighters. I know quite a few people have expressed interest in mine.

[ She's even trained her smile down, now. ] And you know as well as I do that a Skarmory on a leash is completely useless. This is as much her fault as it is his - as much yours as mine.

Selling them isn't an option.

[ At the mere mention of selling, Skarmory lets out another shriek. HER EGGS ARE NOT MERCHANDISE, BOSS. B| At Quistis' mention that this both their fault, his expression sours. He knows it takes two to tango, but Skarmory was perfectly fine when her only interest in males was a bromance with Lucky Duck. ]

I guess I'll have to give them away, or trade them.

Wow, those eggs don't really look like eggs... More like pieces of huge metal...

They're Skarmory eggs. The babies should reach to your knees, easily.

That would be some huge babies...

If you're looking for a home for some of them, I could probably take one off your hands.

[ Leon pauses, contemplative. Skarmory cranes her neck to see who it is that's creepering on her babies. ]

They're loud, not to mention demanding--they're pretty good fighters, though.

[ But he won't say no, because like hell he's keeping any of them. ]

Ven and Isa had eggs too, before we figured out it was them. [There's a pause as he realizes that sounds odd.] My friend's Eevee and my Sentret.

[ He barely knows Isa, but he knows Ven, and that was definitely a bizarre mental image. ]

It's a hassle, that's for sure.

[ She's staring long and hard at the Skarmory with wonder, awe, and curiosity. It's a scene she's not used to seeing, so... ]

How long will it be... till they hatch?

[ Skarmory croons and shows off the eggs. AREN'T THEY LOVELY~? Leon just shrugs. ]

Probably a little under a week.

[ She'd ask, "isn't that a bit fast?" before the Skarmory shows her the eggs. She tilts her head at it. ]

Kind of Pokemon is that?

She's a Skarmory. A Steel- and Flying-type.
