003 || Video / Action for Goldenrod
[Looks like Whitney has yet another challenger today! It's now Matt's Rampardos versus Whitney's Miltank, and it's pretty obvious that Matt's going to win this one. The poor cow is suffering from Toxic poison and is running low on HP, yet at the same time she seems to be gazing upon her opponent with an almost longing gaze. Yup, she's infatuated with the Rampardos.
Matt's Charizard, who is chilling out on the sidelines, thinks that this is the best time to go through his trainer's bag and whip out his PokéGear, turn on the video function and point the camera right at the battlefield. Yup, he's a smart one.]
Alright, dude, finish her off with Superpower!
[The Rampardos charges forward and slams into the Miltank with an extremely powerful force, causing her to go flying and crash right into the wall, falling down onto the floor a few seconds after. She's definitely not getting back up after a hit like that, so it looks like Matt's getting his first badge. Hooray! ...Once Whitney is done crying, of course.]
Waaahhh! Y-You meanie!
[Unlike most of the other challengers, however, Matt doesn't appear to be fazed by this at all. He's seen all the other posts about people beating Whitney, so he knew this was going to happen. And he prepared for it. However, he'll at least try to act apologetic and see if that gets anywhere first.]
Um, I'm really sorry... I didn't think he'd hit that hard...
[Nope, she's still crying. Matt turns to go get his bag, and that's when he finally notices his Charizard recording the scene. Before he can say anything about it, the Pokémon chucks the bag at his trainer, which he thankfully catches. He'll just worry about his audience later and focus on making this girl feel better. Besides, if Whitney knew that this was being recorded, she would probably get even more upset...
He pulls out three Revives and another item that's too small to see at the moment and approaches the crying Gym Leader, holding the Revives out to her.]
I know these won't heal your Pokémon completely, but it should help a little...
[Whitney finally stops crying, sniffling and staring at the Revives seemingly in disbelief. She's gotten gifts from challengers before, sure, but nothing like this. After a moment, she takes the Revives from him.]
W-Wow... I don't--
Oh, I got you this, too!
[And then Matt holds out the item in his other hand; a hairpin in the form of an adorable Miltank's head.]
I figured the pink would go really well with your outfit, and Miltank is your signature Pokémon and all...
[Now she's really happy. She squeals as she takes the hairpin and gives him a tight hug.]
Ohmigosh! I take back what I said earlier. You're, like, the nicest challenger I've ever had!
Really? Haven't you gotten gifts from challengers before, though...?
Well, yeah, but no one's ever given me items to heal my Pokémon with, too... I think that's really sweet.
[And now he's getting a kiss on the cheek. Awww yeah.]
Hehe, you're also one of the cutest challengers I've ever had... Let's hang out for a while!
[Matt could never say no to a cute girl wanting to spend time with him, so he lets her drag him off. And with that, his Charizard is going to end the feed now.]
[A few hours later]
[After spending the rest of the afternoon with Whitney, Matt's starting up the feed again. He appears to be outside the Gym now.]
Um, sorry about earlier, dudes... I didn't think Inferno would grab my Gear like that. But later I realized that I haven't posted anything in over two months now, so I figured I should say some other stuff... I've been so busy with working and training my Pokémon and replying to other people's posts that I guess I just completely forgot to make my own every now and then.
[There's a brief pause as he tries to think of what he should say now.]
Well, obviously I've made it to Goldenrod... I got here during that paintball tournament that Souji hosted about a month ago, and I got transportation from him, too. You're the best, dude!
Also, um, I'm working at Goldenrod's department store now... The pay is awesome, and it's a really fun job, so I'm enjoying it a lot. I work in the clothing department on weekdays during the afternoon and evening, so you guys should totally come visit. I took off for today though so I could get that badge...
[Another brief pause.]
Um, I don't think there's anything else important to say... Oh, wait, one more thing! I've had this Dragonair for a while now that I just can't think of a good nickname for... It's a girl, and I figured she should have a name that would suit a Dragonite, too, since she's going to evolve eventually, but I've still got nothing. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be really awesome.
