If someone went after the person you loved, there's usually no holding back. In Lady's case, she knows what she wants, so of course she'd defend it.

... You'd be the first to say that. [ but she turns her head, jerking her chin ever so slightly - after this long, some of hers don't need vocal summons - and in just a few seconds, something rears up to peer at the screen, having evidently used her trainer's lap as support. That would be a rather well-groomed Furret with bright, alert eyes and a countenance that could only be described as 'Call me cute and I'll rip your face off'. ]

This is Kanzeon! She's the first one I ever caught.

[Oh, someone new for Lady to inspect. Which she does, for all of about five seconds, before abruptly deciding that the Furret is apparently completely beneath her notice and opting to snuggle up against Yagyuu's legs instead.]

Ah, I see. She does seem quite spirited, I agree.

You should see her when she goes to town.

[ there's both exasperation and a little bit of fondness in the tone; when she's not stopping her from trying to take chunks out of the legs of friends, Rise's pretty proud of her low-to-the-ground badass.

Kanzeon chitters in response, offering Yagyuu a lovely view of sharp teeth and a polite hiss after a moment of inspection. She seems to be considering bristling until her trainer gives her an admonishing look. ]
