I don't underst-stand how humans s-survive temperatures like this...[They don't wear fishnet sleeves when it's fortysomething out, that's how

The only thing I got taken from me was an arsenal worth of guns, a notebook full of blackmail fodder and a dufflebag full of cellphones. I'm doing fine.
I believe we use jackets to keep us warm during the winter monthes, sir.
[She'll tilt her head with a bright smile before a more serious look appears.]
It's a little hard to get used to, to be honest. I use to rely on my magic more than my own skills, but I'm slowly getting used to it. My pokemon have been great help in supporting me through these past couple of monthes.
[Thinking about his second question, she shakes her head.]
I don't know if we'll ever be able to regain them. This world is a bit odd and we still don't know much about it. But there is one thing I know -- It would be a bad idea to regain our powers here.
Oh, then in that case, I'm Aerith. It's nice to meet you, Touya.
[She gives him a smile and wonders how to explain this.]
I can think of a few reasons, but it's mostly about the villians in this world. Not everyone here are good people. If those villians were given their powers back, who knows what type of destruction they will inflict against those without magical powers. There is a handful of people who are normal.
That and not only people will get hurt, but the citizens of ths world will be caught in the crossfire, too. It's best to stay magicless especially in a world as peaceful as this one. Don't you agree?
...peaceful. [He closed his eyes with a faint sigh.] I know nothing of a peaceful world, neither do I know how such peace would be maintained without enforcement beyond the efforts of those in uniform.
Your form changed as well? I would say mine hadn't, but where I seem susceptible to the temperature changes here... Perhaps I've changed more than originally thought.
[And here comes Kisame with a worried Quagsire at his heels]
They can't keep me cooped up in there forever, Nuru--
[Considering that both his hands are bandaged and one is splinted, it shouldn't be hard to guess that he's trying to escape from well-meaning doctors. He looks up at the question though.]
It looks like we're all still adjusting to the first part, eh? But there has to be a way. If my abilities were gone, I'd be dead, so they must just be sealed somehow.
I can only assume there are more in a similar situation to yours.
[The Vaporeon jumped off his lap and landed on the ground, his Trainer following once his Drifloon had been recalled.]
Common sense would dictate there to be those whose lives hinge on their supernatural powers. So if said powers were taken somehow, how are they still living? And if only sealed, how can such a seal be undone?

[He gave her words a moment's thought.]
Why would it be a bad idea?
