[ Look, guys, another egg hatched!

Quistis is perched on her bed with a baby Riolu curled up in her lap, Blitz sprawled beside her, head on her trainer's leg as she stares curiously at the new arrival.

I've never actually met a Fighting-type before. There don't seem to be that many in the wild.

I hadn't encountered any, either. He's not going to do me any good against Falkner, but I imagine he'll come in handy later.

I noticed someone else on the network had a similar egg that hatched just earlier today, so I sort of knew what to expect. It was still exciting, though.

[Ooooh. There seems to be another little Riolu jumping up and down, trying to get a view of the camera... At least, until Riku adjusts the Gear a bit.]

That makes the second Riolu I've seen today. Wonder if anyone else has one.

[ Quistis is briefly enchanted by the other Riolu (something about girls and cute things), but she refocuses on Riku once it's off-camera. ]

When I checked the network earlier, I did notice that someone else had one, but I can't recall who, now. They seem to have been a pretty common Christmas gift.

Well, I can't complain. My Nidoking may know some fighting type moves, but having an actual fighter on my team should help a lot.

Anyway, I haven't figured out a name just yet.

I'm certainly not complaining. [ Quistis' Riolu is stirring in her lap, and lifts his head to peer at the camera briefly. ] He'll definitely start rounding out the team. Still need to get to Union Cave and catch an Onix, though.
