Affiliation: Trainer. (Gen5 Ace trainer. Leaf's bag)

Personality: Ciel, while rather young, is very cynical and responsible for his age. I wouldn't quite call him mature, as he still has his childish moments and motivations. When he was ten years old, his parents were killed, his house burned down, and he was kidnapped and tortured for a month before he was rescued. This has caused him to have a very cynical outlook on the world, and people in general. He will not hold back in stating his thoughts about such things if they present themselves.

Having been orphaned at such a young age has put a lot of responsibility on him. Once he was back home he took up both ends of the family business - the dangerous missions for his queen, and running the toy company his father started. Since he is now officially the Lord Earl Phantomhive, he also has many social responsibilities to uphold, which he does, even though he hates it. However, those around him would never guess as much, as he is perfectly well mannered and polite in public. The only flaw in his public face is that he tends to be commanding and arrogant.

One thing he hates most of all is to be looked down upon, condescended to, humiliated, or anything of such a nature. He's worked hard to prove himself capable, and when people still treat him as a child, it grates on his nerves. In that same manner, he also hates to be disobeyed. He also expects the absolute best out of those who work for him, and anything less is absolutely intolerable. His household servants tend to be on the silly, clumsy side, and the only reason he puts up with them is that their talents lie elsewhere, in fields far more relevant to his goals.

He's quite smart for being so young, and can handle almost any situation thrown at him. One of his favorite pastimes is board games, especially chess, or others of a strategic variety, and he will often engage others in a test of wits. In Ciel's opinion, life is a game of chess and everyone is a piece for him to play. He's usually four moves ahead of his opponents and already plotting his next move.

One of the major factors in Ciel's life is what happened to him when he was ten. It's shaped who he is today, and how he conducts himself. His whole life since the incident has been devoted to finding the people responsible and exacting his revenge on them, and he's doing so at the cost of his soul. He has stated on a couple of occasions that all he is anymore is his hatred and need for revenge, and if he doesn't have that, he's nothing.

While there are a few (a very select few) people Ciel cares about, he looks out for himself first, with the possible exception of his cousin. Family, however, hasn't stopped him in the past. His revenge isn't even just for his parents, but more for what happened to him, and how he was humiliated. If it doesn't forward his goal in anyway, he's unlikely to do it.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Ciel is, first of all, a strategist. He'll analyze a situation and immediately deduce what's in it for him, and how he can manipulate those around him and control it. Not being in control of a situation would also be a considerable fear of his.

Having been brought up with private tutors his whole life, he has a well rounded education that all boys of high society should have and he excels at all of them except dance. While he can dance, he hates doing so, and often trips over his own feet.

He is also somewhat skilled with handguns and light espionage work. His job for the queen often requires him to go undercover and has proven on several occasions to be quite dangerous.

On the other side, Ciel frequently suffers from nightmares, though he tries not to let them bother him. He is blind in his right eye and wears an eye patch to hide his contract seal. He uses a cane to walk, though he doesn't constantly rely on it, and without it he has just a mild limp. Ciel is also more dependent than he would like to think himself. He is constantly relying on his butler to take care of the more dangerous situations he finds himself in. He also hates the scars on his body, and especially the brand on his side and goes out of his way to hide it from people.

His cousin could also be considered a weak point, as she is probably the one person he would go out of his way for, as he has demonstrated in the past. She's also the one person he wants to protect from what his world has become, and he'll go to great lengths to make sure she doesn't know anything about what he does, or what's happened to him.

He also has a fondness for sweets and requires baked goods daily. Often times a well made cake can brighten his mood (if just a teensy bit).

First Person Sample:

Not having the contract in effect is really starting to wear on my nerves. Sebastian is no longer required to listen to my orders and, as expected, is taking full advantage of this. He even had the audacity to tell me this morning that I should start learning to take care of myself. I slapped him of course, but I think it served to annoy him more than teach him his place. He appeared to be rather unaffected.

I've left him some yards behind me now. This Misdreavus creature is accompanying me outside of its device. It keeps untying my eye patch however which is starting to get rather irritating. And I believe this music might very well drive me insane.

I wish to return to my world.

Third Person Sample:

It was irritating more than anything else. Here Ciel was in some unknown city (New Bark Town, as the strange device told him) with some unknown creature (Misdreavus, according to the same device), and some annoying cheerful tune playing in the background. To top it all off, Sebastian was nowhere to be seen. Ciel didn't even know if Sebastian was here (the Pokemon world, once again provided by the strange device). Now he had nowhere to go, and he was hungry.

Taking a deep breath, he ran a hand through his hair and gave the Misdreavus floating around him in circles an annoyed look. "I don't suppose you can tell me what is going on here, can you?"

The creature made a high pitched noise and pulled the tie to Ciel's eye patch.

"H-hey! Stop that this instant! Know your place, creature."

It made a series of noises that Ciel could only guess was a laugh. It reminded him of his cousin's incessant giggling.

After some time wandering the town, Ciel eventually found a bench to sit on. He'd arrived at this place without his cane, so the extra stress on his leg was beginning to wear on him. Pulling out that oh-so-helpful device, he played around with the buttons. If Ciel was going to be stuck here, he wasn't going to be clueless. This thing had been fairly helpful so far, so he figured it might provide more answers.

Hitting a few buttons found him a generic entry on 'Pokemon,' what seemed to be the main animal species of this world. "Pokemon are creatures found throughout the world. There are currently hundreds of different species and still more being discovered every day. They have special abilities, also known as attacks, and are capable of a great many things.

Pokemon and humans have lived side by side for many years, and often help each other out. These days, it is common for children to start a journey to become a Pokemon trainer or breeder and capture the different species. Once captured, they are most often used in battle, but may be used for other functions as well, or simply kept as pets. Typically, during travel, Pokemon are kept inside Pokeballs.

Many Pokemon may evolve into different Pokemon once they reach a certain stage, often becoming much stronger. Some may also evolve due to exposure to certain items."

The idea of battling with the creatures had piqued Ciel's interest. Once more, he found the article on Misdreavus. A ghost type Pokemon. Its attacks were 'Growl' and 'Psywave'. It was currently at level five. It evolved into Mismagius when touched by a Dusk Stone. Ciel spent the next hour learning the inner workings of Pokemon battling. It seemed to be mostly strategy, having to do with type advantage and what moves to use. A game of chess involving elements, in a way. Perhaps if Ciel ever made it home, he would create a board game based off of this type of strategy battle.

When his stomach finally rumbled again, he sighed and put the device away. While doing so, he happened to come across one of those Pokeball things in his bag. This was good, because now he could put that damn creature away, too. Pulling the red and white ball out, he recalled the Pokemon into it. Now it was time to find some food.
