[ Sebastian, for his part, looks a little dismayed. It just had to be a dog, didn't it? ] So she does. [ He sighs slightly, then chuckles. ] Such are the whims of a woman, I suppose.

[At first he'd been all too happy to dismiss this broadcast the minute it had mentioned breeding. He'd had enough of that, thank you. The glameow egg nestled alongside the charmander egg in his bag was already more weight than he'd wanted to carry.

The fact he knew it was going to hatch into a demanding little creature just like it's mother filled him with the same sort of dread he'd felt at the Demon Queen's announcement she was expecting a daughter seventeen years ago.

But you know what? All of that was forgotten when faced with an utterly adorable pink kitten on the feed.]

T-That's... [he WANTS to say 'disarmingly precious', but all he can do is sort of wibble.]

[ Sebastian keeps the camera trained on Lucy, but speaks behind it with a bit of a chuckle in his voice. ]

Another admirer of feline divinity, hmm? She's quite charming.

[Seeming to have sensed her trainer's wandering attention (or maybe attracted by the words "feline divinity"), Princess suddenly leaps onto his shoulder with a disapproving glare and lash of her long tail. Hi, remember her, Gaga? She saved your team from failtown, buddy.]

Skitty, yes. Her name is Lucy. [ He finally turns the camera back to himself, and the sound of his 'Dex can be heard as he looks past the 'Gear. His eyes come quickly back to the screen, however, when he catches sight of another cat in his peripheral vision. ]

Oh - my. [ And now it's obvious that he's just somewhat accustomed to the charm of a Skitty, not immune to the lure of felines on the whole. His eyes sparkle. ] And who is this little piece of Heaven?

[ Why is that bear so cute? A fluttering of wings follows, after which a Starly makes a graceful landing on her trainer's shoulder and chirps a curious greeting at the screen before turning her head sharply to look at her trainer. What's this about Teddiursa eggs? The question goes unanswered, though, as Valeria is contemplating, contemplating... and smiling. ]

If you're willing, I'd be happy to pay or trade you for one. Aerora -- [ and she's gesturing to the Starly, who is giving her an incredulous look ] -- recently laid some eggs as well. [ A beat. ] Oh, and if it makes any difference, I'm pretty sure she's the only one in Johto at this point. I've yet to run across another like her.

[ Sebastian is about to answer, himself, when the bird alights in front of the camera and distracts him. He studies her thoughtfully as he listens to her trainer. ]

I could use a Flying-type, and she's a charming little thing. What is she called?

[ And Aerora confirms this with a pleased starly as she's quite fond of compliments. She lifts her wings just slightly and puffs her chest out. ]

From what I've been able to gather from my experiences with her, they're complacent, but sociable and fast flyers, too.

[ Sebastian's 'Dex sounds in the background, and the words to Starly's 'Dex entry may be very faintly heard in snatches. ]

Interesting. I think a trade would be excellent. I intend to pry these eggs from Ellie as soon as I can; I don't want all of them hatching here. Are you in Violet City?

[Look who figured out the video function? No, not really. He's been pressing buttons for the past five minutes in a vague attempt to try and make the damned pokégear work. All he's seen for those terribly long five minutes was enough to bore him out of his mind.

He was quite ready to pitch it across the lab and be done with it, but a certain voice caught his attention. And a certain name that sounded oh-too-similar to another he was much too familiar with.

Alois holds the pokégear at arm's length, pulls it close to his face, and back to arm's length again. What was he to make of the image on the screen he wasn't sure, but there was talk of eggs and 'Cielle' and apparently Sebastian was rather upset about it all. A smile dawns on his face, growing hard along the edges. He refrains from saying a word, unaware that the video feed was on.]

[ It's a moment before Sebastian realizes he's being watched, but he does eventually take note of the creepy blond boy on the video feed. He brings the camera back to his face, looking curious. ]

May I help you?

[If Alois was surprised, he did his best to hide it. After all, it wouldn't do to allow Sebastian to think he had to upper hand.

Although the wording of that particular question couldn't have been more vague.]

Maybe. [If Sebastian wanted to be vague, Alois could be exactly the opposite. Or not.] Though I am curious, Sebastian. ...What are you doing without your precious master? You wouldn't happen to have lost him, have you?

[ Instant suspicion sets in. It's possible that Alois is a Violet City resident who's met them before, or simply a stalker on the network, but Sebastian rarely forgets a face, so he doubts it. That makes Alois and his question very much suspect. ]
