An' I'm guessing I'm not the only one who somehow magically lost the ability to summon their Eidolen. [She was planning on using it to get to Vanille and the next town as quickly as possible. So much for that.]

[Lightning just shakes her head, snorting a little, and not in amusement.] You should have been here a couple months ago. It was a real mess.

No, you're not the only one. None of us can summon our Eidolons or use magic. We're only humans here.

[And hey, it's.. kind of nice. Besides the actual losing their powers thing, they really didn't stand out anymore. And while Fang didn't particularly care about the opinions of most others, she didn't exactly enjoy being ostracized. Much less her friends.]
