Team Rocket did something to it, and we think that's what caused the Bug Pokemon to go mental.

It's not that far of a stretch of the imagination to think that's what happened to the Water Pokemon, too.

It's a possibility. And when there's such a large population of pokémon going through so much unrest, I suppose such a large and important looking one would appear. Just like out of a book or something.

Mm. It seems there are some Pokemon who are seen as deities in this world, and have some jurisdiction of some types of Pokemon.

Oh! Well then, that makes sense, I suppose! I've read about mythology and different deities and gods in different religions and areas of the world. And what with this being on a complete plain of it's own...it makes sense.
