(Miss my lj like crazy. Unfortunately, it's not the purpose of this post.)

Special thanks you youngcurmudgeon for pointing me to this: you've all seen it, right?

It's freaking canon, people. Dumbledore/Grindelwald is canon. Which makes me hilariously happy in a way I did not expect it to ( Read more... )

This, to me, is like going behind the sofa two months after Christmas and discovering a gift that you unaccountably missed the first time around. :D

Exactly. It makes me want to go back through all the books and read every Dumbledore scene over again.

It also feels like things have slotted into place with him in several areas now. I mean, if I were going to say that any character in the series truly felt like they could be gay, he would have been very high on my list. Especially after the whole Grindelwald thing.

See, I always figured that just because she had never said specifically "so-and-so is gay" didn't mean that their weren't gay people about. In fact, I kind of appreciated the fact that she didn't think it was so important to make the distinction and really highlight the 'different-ness' of such characters.

Obviously there were other reasons for doing it (she smartly did it after book 7 was out and everyone had bought and read it, so no one could get on the "BAN BOOK" train for that reason), but I understand where she was coming from there. People would have gotten so judgmental over something that really didn't matter to the story at all.

That aside, so happy it's Dumbledore. He's just as squishy as ever. :D
