With only a month away from NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), where people from all around the world attempt to write 50,000 words of fiction in 30 days, I thought some of you might be interested in expressing your creativity with some writing-related icons. I've made a couple of these, and I thought I might share them with you guys. Please

Yay! I love your icons (bookmarking icontour so I can browse later). The 'typos' one made me laugh.

Ahh Nano. Please talk me into doing it this year. I never usually participate because I have midterms all of November and finals in early December, and it's just way too much to handle. However, I really want the experience, and it sounds like so much fun! And I know I STILL have midterms and finals all around November this year, but maybe if I write just a few hundred words a day, I can at least manage to somewhere close to finishing Nano. I mean I should still try, right? (So yes, come November or by the end of October, just leave me random messages urging me to do this.)

And yes, I will definitely be talking you into doing NaNo this year! I can understand how difficult it must be to juggle schoolwork and writing 50,000 words, but as you've said, you don't necessarily have to aim for the full 50k. You might want to start off with a personal goal of say, 25k (which will be about 833 words/day), which will still make you feel really accomplished by the end of the month. I have final exams during November, and for the last couple of years, I've mostly done some huge last minute writing in order to finish, and that was a really fun (but frazzling) experience. SO YES, WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU DO NANO THIS YEAR!! :D :D

It's not so much inspiration, but forcing myself not to be lazy and go and make icons that would benefit others as opposed to drooling over my particular interests. XD I made that first batch of SM writing icons cause kaitlynfall made a general request for Sailormoon-related writing stuffies--I'll be happy to make some more if you want. Oh, and you're welcome to make your requests specific (gimme a quotation, an idea, a picture you'd like me to use, etc), and I'll whip something up and post it on the next monthly update at my icon journal. ^_^
