Oh my, that's one heavenly gastronomic trip! I was planning to head back to Japan expo in france this year, and though we don't nearly eat so well [with a 10 hour con day and a evil trip on the peripherique taking between 15min -2 hours afterwards, sitting in a restaurant seems something dreadful to inflict on the locals.] but we always found that even casual eating in france is very good.

I was at the Japan Expo 4 or 5 years ago. That is where I set my record for doing drawings in books--300. Naoki Urasawa will be the guest of honor at this summer's Expo in Paris.

Stan's Travel Blog! You should do it professionally.

And I can't believe you were able to let a bag of fries sit on that wall with no pigeons suddenly attacking.

Great travel report, and like usual, you have made me hungry! And the photos of your water-color illustrations and the placemat drawings are awesome! I still can't believe a publisher has not approached you about collecting all these travel reports into a nice and big, fully illustrated, coffee-table book.

Wonderful report....and I quite hungry now! I'm raging with myself I missed getting my book signed, only went to angouleme for two days this year and was totally disorganised trying to fit all the tents, exhibitions and talks I could in and wound up missing more then I saw!

You know... I've been really wanting to visit Angouleme for a couple of years but I think you've just convinced me to finally do it. Last time I was in France I barely ate anything worthwhile. This must be remedied.
