sadly sweet. I like the idea of both of them being performers and taking comfort from each other.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Yeah, well, I wanted for Prowl to be something different in his past, something he would not be expected to be and also that this secret past of his would make him have some things in common with Jazz.

Very sweet, but had the right mix of sadness. The show of support from each mech as they go through their hardships was so very uplifting.

A great job!

Hehehe, since the prompt already had that undertone of a bit of sadness, that part at least was planned. What I did not expect was that Jazz decided the beginning should contain a bit humor. On the other hand, after I came up with that past and since this was all supposed to take place before the war, the end result was a mixture of light topic and sad topic. I am happy to hear that you liked the mix well enough.
And yes, the fact that they support themselves was an important factor of the story.

Thank you so very much for your nice feedback!

This was very bittersweet - a fascinating backstory for Prowl and an interesting insight into Jazz at the same time. There were places it felt like there was a lot of exposition, but you kept the story moving along and got the characters just right. The image of Softflow's last song, as a lullaby to ruined Praxus, was hauntingly beautiful and the way Prowl dealt with Jazz's grief in the last scene was just about perfect.

I'm impressed by your take on this prompt and how you wove the story around it. Great job.

Thank you so very much for this feedback.
I am especially glad to hear your opinion of the parts you pointed out because those were my most important and I am glad to see that the emotions of those scenes got over just the way I wanted them to. The lullaby was supposed to be a very emotional scene and I think that you see it as hauntingly beautiful tells me I got the job done right.

Oh well, I should be able to work with that prompt since I have to admit it was my own. To my defense however I have to say that I had no story in mind when I created it, just this prompt itself. When week three was released however and I went through the list of prompts, my own was the first that suddenly made me picture Prowl as a secret singer and then the scene with the lullaby for Praxus. The plotbunny hit so hard in fact that this story was born before I realised it, even though I had planned not to do my own prompt. *sighs* Well, that's how things go. *shakes head*

That was good. Nice history between the two of them and shared joy and shared sorrow. The destruction of Praxus was certainly a turning point for both of them.

You know, now that I think about it, I've been accused of being heartless as well in stressful situations. It isn't really being heartless, it is just coping with the situation until one can step away and deal with it in private and away from prying eyes. It was nice to see Jazz defend Prowl in that situation and then be the one thing Prowl could hang on to afterwards.

Yes, it was supposed to be the turning point and a not so nice reason as to why nowadays no one even knows or suspects about Prowl's talents.

Yes, well, when I wrote that scene I was for one inspired by other fanfics who also handled Prowl like that. I thought the case over and decided that besides the fact that people can be so full of grief that they are no longer able to express it, there are also people who simply dislike the idea of grieving in public. Prowl is such a mech and Jazz knows that, knows that he's hurting and therefore he will forever protect his beloved of hurtful comments.

Anyway, thank you so very much for reviewing. I am happy to know that you enjoyed the drabble.
