[Backdated to after "Run Silent, Run Deep"]

So that's what using a lambda driver is like...

I was surprised it worked at all. It really doesn't feel like a weapon. I think I get why Sousuke doesn't like his.

Exactly what happened in the sea? I was kept too busy by the UES forces to get the entire picture.

Nothing too unusual. The Jovians attacked, we fought them off. The weird thing for me was using a lambda driver. "Thinking angry thoughts at the enemy" should not be a valid attack strategy.

"Thinking thoughts at the enemy?"

That's the only way I can describe it. It turns your thoughts into reality, So while it's running it's like, if you REALLY REALLY want to destroy something, then when you shoot at it your shot will be supercharged.

Now imagine entire squadrons of soldiers equipped with Lambda Drivers.

I think the lambda driver can have military applications. Give them to small, specially trained squads. They could turn the tides of wars.

That kind of operation would require precision. Lambda Drivers are powerful, but we're still years away from them being a reliable technology.

Perhaps. Still, it's my job to figure out how to make it work for me, so I'm gonna keep practicing.

It's funny. Until I actually used it, I thought the lambda driver had an actual interface. Like, a shield button, and a supershot button.

Um, so what does it feel like, Sergeant Major?

Doesn't really feel like anything. The only way you know it's working is if shit starts glowing.

Sounds like the T-Link System...well, it starts glowing and deflecting bullets, anyway.

Which is odd, because they tested me for Newtype and Psychodriver potential when I joined up and I got really low scores on both.
