I'm still feeling like crap on and off. I was fine for most of the weekend but I did get an upset stomach on both days in the evening... and yesterday was horrible. I felt like I had to throw up but I decided to still go into work because I felt guilty that I had missed so many days ( Read more... )

Ohmigod. How freakishly coincidental. I have the same kind of symptoms. My stomach is being wrenched apart and there's this acid-y tightness at my throat that makes me want to hurl.

I think there's something evil and nasty going around... I hope you feel better. ._.

AHHHH! Get that looked at!

Hopefully it's just something simple that can be calmed down with some meds.

I've been kind of wondering about you. You write a lot of posts about not feeling well, so it sounding y'know... not like a flu. Something you can do for yourself is note what foods make you feel worse. It sounds crazy, but I actually found out after years of agony that I was allergic to wheat. It sends me running to the bathroom or just acid-y/nauseated. Plus, I felt like garbage eating anything like pasta, bread, etc. (made me feel tired and kind of woolly-brained).

If you have any other problems other than a stomach ache and fatigue (the desk thing?), take note of them.

If it isn't a food allergy, it could be the beginnings of an ulcer (although usually acid problems like heartburn start that train wreck off) or gallstones. It's frustrating being sick--I'm a veteran, I have not felt well in more than eight years--but it'll work out for you, I'm sure of it. Stomach problems can usually be resolved, it's just a matter of ruling out what it is. I hope you get this fixed soon.

Yeah, I notice that I write a lot about not feeling all that great (and not just with the last week either). I was trying to figure out what kind of foods usually make me feel worse but I honestly can't pick anything out. I haven't ruled out a food allergy yet but it seems like whatever it is that makes me sick isn't tied to just one food. I thought it might be gluten but I can usually eat toast or pasta and feel fine.

I think it could be anything from anxiety to plain old IBS. I'm not entirely sure, which is why i should really go to a doctor. I'm sort of reluctant though because I did go once before and he couldn't find anything particularly wrong with me. SIGH. x_x I really hope it's not n ulcer, but I think I'd take that over gallstones... :/
