I hate getting up in the mornings normally, but they're even worse when I'm just getting over something like the stomach flu. x_x I took a shower and everything but now I'm sort of debating whether I should even go into work at all... Eep contagious or not, if you're not feeling well, I suggest you stay home and rest!

Fairy Tail! I love how its artwork resembles Odachi's so much, makes it all the more fun to read. XD

I wasn't feeling so sick that I couldn't have gone into work, but it's best that I didn't. Not just because other people might have gotten sick too, but it turned out that I wasn't as good as I thought. Even yesterday, it was pretty bad. I kept getting really light headed. :/ It might have just been from not eating much lately though.

And yes! I was really surprised at how similar the artwork is. They're different enough that one isn't just a rip off of the other, but it makes me laugh in certain situations because it makes me think of One Piece and how the characters would react. XD

Plue freaked me out. =___=; He/it (?) was one of the biggest downsides of Rave. That and when I first started in on it I was wholly fixated on One Piece and couldn't help making comparisons as, at the time, OP was the only series I cared much for.

It sounds kind of cute/interesting. The zodiac thing reminds me somehow of Gundam Wing and its propensity for naming certain gundams such things. I remember what... Leos, Cancers... bah, I can't remember all they used. lol

OMG. Totally! Plue is so freaking annoying. I usually don't outright hate characters anymore but... I just can't get over that thing. I tried getting into Rave but I felt it sort of had a really slow start (at least in the anime), the characters weren't really magnetising immediately and... Plue! Urgh. Shortly after it arrived, I gave up on the series. :| I'm so glad that Fairy Tail is way, way better.

Yeah, the Zodiac thing is cool. :D Except in this case, it actually does summon the creatures from the Zodiac. Taurus is a big minotaur that wears a speedo and weilds an axe. XD And Aquarius looks just like the symbol (mermaid with jar of water). I can't wait to see what the others look like. Cancer and Virgo don't really look much like what you'd expect them to, but they're still cool. :3

I watched it a lot further than that, but Plue was a constant irritation. Plus the story for the main girl character (can't remember her name) was too... stereotypical for my tastes: lost memories; complicated and mysterious existence; blah, blah, blah.

To be fair though as much as I love a lot of shounen series, a person really does have to look past a endless amount of flaws. Bleach has a weak plot but interesting characters. Naruto takes itself too seriously at times and the fight scenes can go on and on, although it has a much better plot than some of its harshest critic claim. One Piece has the same failing as Naruto with very extravagant, long-running fights. Other series are too confusing or complicated after a while by introducing tons of new characters to make up for their weak plot (Bleach is this way) and a million new weapons and moves (Bleach again).

We're all getting older and the older. And I think the older we get the more we crave something that is still fun but somehow more mature and still manga or close enough ( ... )
