oo - sounds wonderful. I'd love to see a pic of your headdress if you got one. :)

I do love Margaret Van Eyck's portrait for that style - she looks like she has some serious horns going on, but if you look at the top of her head, you see it's relatively flat.

Yeah, I was going to say, Jan Van Eyck seems to be the main painter to depict women with that hair style.

Yes, that's definitely one of the images I was looking at while trying to figure out what to pack! Also this picture, by Robert Campin:
