Goddamnit, I've run through like five variations, the memory of "Find/Replace" looks like an annotated encyclopedia of chivalry, and the only one I LIKE is "paladin."

What about Templar? I'd suggest Warden, but I got a tough fond of that name in connection with The Frozen Throne.

Or, Something Religiously Significant + Blade. Like the noble order of the Celestial Blades, commonly called Blades. I dunno.

Hmm... I was thinking along the "make it up" and "other-than-English" lines, and came up with "Quaestor", which apparently means "one who asks questions", sounds (and is) nicely Latinate and non-secular, and was actually used as a title for magistrates, accountants and police inspectors who investigated murders (that one still applies in Italy, as Questore).

Turn Undead means making them flee. It's a D&D 4th level Paladin's power. :D

Ah yes, but she said "turn undead at level 4", so it might've meant she became undead at level 4...
