Tumblr Attack!

I got one. For some reason. I don’t know. There’s a gap in my memory and the smell of burnt toast.

Anyway, I’ve been posting sketchbook excerpts in it. The few people who followed me in a blinding moment of enthusiasm have probably been rather disappointed that all they’re getting is crappy doodles of undead hamsters and pirates from 2005, but hey ( Read more... )

Nope, can't say that I have. :D I await the reblog conversations with Seanan McGuire, as they should be somewhat easier to follow than the back and forth tweets.

Alas, few seem to be inclined to have silly conversations in blog comments these days. Largely because few people blog for one line of silliness.

Admittedly, LJ on the whole gets far less use these days than in its heyday -- though my own use has decreased not a bit, I definitely see far less traffic in the communities -- but I enjoy a great deal of conversation in Facebook comments, and the occasional bit on G+.. same concept, really: Simple dang comment threads.

Additional Tumblr peeve: Tumblr posts don't have title or description meta tags, so the auto-populated content is often a string of reblog accounts (for title) and whatever text happens to be somewhere on the page (for description.) As someone who shares dozens of links on good day, that's just irritating.
