Really? (I mean…REALLY?)

So today I got a very nice e-mail from a librarian who has participated in the summer reading program, for which I did the big poster and art and whatnot. (Which, hey, I can post now!)

In addition to the main poster, I did a bunch of little spot art that went into various T-shirts and bookmarks and tote bags and stuff. They kept the aquatic theme, ( Read more... )

I KNEW that art was familiar! Walked into my local library the other day and saw that hanging up on the wall, said, "Gee, that looks a lot like Ursula's art..."

Nice to know I wasn't going crazy. =)

Now I'm curious to see the mako. ^^

“Satan + Milton 4 EVAR” on it in gel pens.

I love the way your brain works.

Is there any way for others to get posters/bookmarks etc?
I'd love to see the shark!

I've only got a couple of posters, but I've got a whole bunch of bookmarks and some of the other giveaway stuff--and heck, you've given me a goat skull! Shoot me an e-mail with your addy, and I'll happily pop a couple in the mail for you!

Will do... or will you be at Dragon?

The patron should head over to the 200's, (I'm guessing they use Dewey) where they can find the bible nestled up to the koran and lots of other different religions. Sheesh.
Did you do the tribal surfboard too? Looks very cool!

I did indeed! And alas, no Dragon this year, although if you're there and get a chance, our buddies Miss Monster and Diana Stein are sharing a table.

On another topic - if makos would get tribal tattoos, hammerheads would have to get piercings.

You KNOW their gill-slits look like three-ring binders.

Now I keep picturing a punk hammerhead. With a mohawk.

Librarian lady really should have pointed out that she could have the whole Bible in Arabic if she wanted.

Books of the Bible existed in Arabic before they existed in Latin.

Is there any way we can help people overcome their fear of Arabic? It's just a language, folk.

But the dirty evil Muslims use it. And every single one of them wants every single on of us dead. Or something. That's the only "logic" I can up with. Regardless, prejudiced bint is prejudiced.

Keep meaning to mention that I saw that poster last time I was at our local library and went "Eee!" at an appropriately discreet volume.
