Drabble Prompt Fill

Sep 16, 2010 16:53

smc_27 told me that this prompt had me written all over it and that I had to fill it, since I kinda thought it was amazing. And I sat there and stared at it for like, three days, trying to work out if I could actually do it.

49 minutes ago, I sat down and tried to start it again for about the fiftieth time, I've literally been trying and trying and trying ( Read more... )

Awwwwwwwwwwwww, Mell. :)

I'm glad you liked it so much. Haha. It's angsty as hell if you're a Finn/Rachel fan... but what sane person is? :P

Tiny little angst. I just can't resist it. I could've made it sooo much worse, and I had a completely different idea for it where it had been some crazy love affair or whatever, but then it wouldn't have been as surprising. I think there's a million ways this fic could've been filled, actually, now that I'm thinking about it. Grr.

Damn you, Mell, now you've put ideas in my head I can't get rid of to the point where when I need to go to sleep, I've been frantically scribbling away ideas for another undoubtedly similar but slightly angstier version of this.

(But I love you really.)

This is how tired I am - I read "drabble prompt fill" as "double prompt fill" and was really disappointed when there was only one.. :)

Loved this, though!

Aww I'm sorry. I'll try and post something tomorrow night to make up for it, but no promises, my mind is having trouble writing at the moment.

Glad you liked!

I'm getting frustrated about it. Haha. It'll come. Otherwise I'm going to beat it into submission. ;)

I'm glad I didn't read yours before I finished mine; I probably wouldn't have.

You're just good. In the best kind of way!

I ♥ this! It was really beautiful and I love the way you handled Rachel's feelings in this, how she loved Finn, felt betrayed and just decided to let it go. The breakup just seemed necessary and I like that while she may have always wondered if there'd be a "Rachel and Noah" that wasn't the facilitating factor to her breakup with Finn. I also like that Rachel and Santana are (or were) best friends. I loathed her in the first 13, but I love her so much now.

Great job!

Thank you so much for calling it beautiful, that means the world to me and then some. I think Rachel is the type to just let things go, and it sort of frustrates me, but I think she'd only continue to let it go while it suited her. I love the idea of Rachel/Santana as friends... because I think I imagine her slightly differently than she's portrayed on the show, and therefore like her a bit more. ;) Fic has really made me like her a lot... just like it convinced me Puck/Rachel was where it's at!

NGL, I am writing a different version of this where there's a Puck/Rachel while there's a Rachel/Finn, but that's because the angsty side of it won't leave me alone.

Thank you so much for the comment.

Wow. I felt such overwhelming sadness for Rachel at the start of this. Poor baby wants everything too much and never quite gets it the way she had hoped.

I deff liked how it ended. Best. Prom. Ever. LOL!

I think she really does want everything and doesn't always get it that way. But I like the idea of her being realistic about things, too, because a lot of the time she's portrayed as so unrealistic with what could be argued as no grasp on reality, but I think she's smart.

Glad you liked the ending. Thank you! :)
