After the brakes were fixed, we continued with our original plan. The Mt. Misery Conservation Area in Lincoln, Mass.

Mt. Misery is described as "a modest hill covered with a dense pine forest," and is a favorite for dog owners in the Metro West area.

Oh my god, those dogs are adorable. Are you familiar with "moss animals"? The slime mold thing reminded me of them. I saw one this past weekend at our local reservoir. Not really at all alike except in their essential fungal oddness.

Do you mean tardigrades? If so, then, yes I know of them, but I haven't seen one in person--I'd love to, they're so cool! When I do, I'll post it here.
