Bleh I am so happy to not have to worry about ticks...I have seriously never seen any where I live...I'm sure if I was in the woods more I would see some, hahaha...
I'm just glad I use K-9 Advantix, and I don't really have to worry about ticks, fleas or mosquitoes...nice...:)

I wish they had any concept of green space out here. If you see a space that isn't built over here, just wait a year--they'll get to it once they realize the acreage isn't making money for anyone.

What's impressive to me is that you guys get out there and explore urban nature -- true to your name and calling. I envy your energy. Of course, you have dogs, who no doubt either woo you out for a long walk, or drag you along with them. Me, I have four cats, who sit on my lap being cute and cuddly and murmuring "This is NOT the day you wish to leave the nest."

the dogs are a big motivational factor - if we take a 1.5 hr walk in a place like that, we have peace for the rest of the day. :)
